Amy Cooper
CEO & Owner
Amy's journey to becoming the Managing Partner & CEO of KC Auto Clinics was anything but straightforward.
After serving as a foster parent for many years, she gradually transitioned into social work, eventually becoming a Foster Family Social Worker.
After 15 years in the field, she pivoted to a new career and started working as a receptionist at Olathe Auto Clinic. Her responsibilities quickly expanded, and she took on all back-office duties.
Impressed by the owners' integrity and vision for the company, Amy decided to join the team as a Managing Partner. She is now an integral part of the KC Auto Clinics family and helps keep the company running like a well-oiled machine.
Amy has a busy home life with six children and two grandchildren. When she is not at the shop, you are likely to find her and her husband J in their camper by the lake.
Steve Flones
Owner
It’s obvious that business has always been a passion for Steve Flones, who has his Bachelors in Business from Kansas State University.
Steve has been a driving force behind the rise & success of a long string of recognizable national businesses like Enterprise, Ryan Transportation, and Flopath Logistics. While Steve is a natural business consultant, his passion for helping others is evident in his efforts with non-profit organizations like the Supporting Kids Foundation, which helps the families of children struggling with the horrors of cancer.
Outside of the shop, Steve and his wife Lauren take care of three beautiful kids, Annika, Josh, and Emmaline right here in Johnson County. He enjoys being involved in his children’s education and lives, including spending time as a soccer coach.
Steve and Terry met and became fast friends. Naturally, after Steve had Terry work on his own vehicles, he made Terry his standard mechanic, bringing colleague after colleague to him.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if my check engine light comes on?

How often should my brakes be inspected?
Your brakes should be inspected every 12 months. However, if your brake service light comes on or you begin to notice signs of worn brakes, it’s time to bring your car in for service. If you notice squeaky or less responsive brakes, bring your vehicle in to get it checked out.
Why is it important to have my tires rotated?
Tire rotations can save you money long term by reducing wear and improving efficiency. A tire rotation entails removing all tires, inspecting them, and reinstalling them. As a general rule, a tire rotation should be performed every 7,500 miles.

Your vehicle is a long term investment. We believe it is important to know exactly what you’re getting in your new vehicle. Our trusted auto mechanic experts will give you the confidence you need in your next big purchase.
